Planning to order branded giveaways, event merchandise or promotional items?

From 1 July 2026, new Australian Government policy will restrict the purchase of promotional items.

Promotional merchandise includes items that are given away or used to promote CSIRO, including stationery, drinkware and apparel.

In most cases, these items should not be purchased unless there is a clear link to delivering government policy objectives and the purchase has been formally approved by the appropriate delegate (Executive Director level).
